![]() ![]() Nobody cares about what a random stranger on the internet does, but I just want to share with people outside of my personal bubble. I’ve had a lack of experiences that actually made me think for the past few years, so anything probably would’ve given me the same reaction. It’s a 13 page story, but I still don’t know where to start with it. I could sense his combative personality just through his writing. I don’t know why, but something about his writing struck a chord with me. I swear I have never been a deep or intellectual person, but his short stories (notably I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream) had me legitimately pondering the central themes of the stories. But then I stumble across this science fiction writer named Harlan Ellison a few days ago. It probably had to do something with mental health struggles and stuff. He wrote a lot though, and not everything he wrote was amazing. ![]() This was a seriously impressive piece of writing. ![]() Hey guys! This is kind of a weird “discussion” post, but whatever.īasically, I’m the past few years I just slowly became uninterested with reading. In The Deathbird, Ellison rewrites the story of the Garden of Eden and describes man’s final encounter with evil. ![]()
