![]() I had forgotten how awesome these books are! ![]() ![]() I could hit myself for taking so long to catch up on this series. Last week, I got Green-Eyed Demon from NetGalley and I finally buckled down and read Mage in Black. By the time the second book in the series, The Mage in Black, came out I ended up postponing reading it. I read the first book in Jaye Wells’ Sabina Kane series, Red-headed Stepchild, before I started reviewing books in 2009. *Contains Spoilers if you haven’t read the first two books in the series. Previously Published on my blog: Welcome to Larissa's Bookish Life Don’t mess with what’s hers OR you’ll have the death wish. I’m just glad that Sabina has friends in Low Places willing to put their lives on the line for her and the Forces of Good. Maybe I’m a skeptic, but there is just something lingering on the periphery of mind. ![]() Plenty of near death moments and a few zombies if the action isn’t enough for you. You’ll be diving for cover with all the action. Can she stop a dark race war? Can she stop this Greek Tragedy with her grandmother and the prophecy surrounding her? The only thing she isn’t afraid of is to DIE. Fear of being the cause of anything harming her family, friends, or love. Guilt over her one night stand with Slade. Guilt over her part in Maisie’s abduction. Guilt and Fear are slamming into her down in the Big not-so Easy. Though she is still full of her snarky-guns-a-blazing awesomeness that I love, she really has a lot of heavy weighing her down. ![]()
